Sun Peaks is the second largest ski area in Canada with a whopping 4,270 acres of skiable terrain spread over three mountains.
Slopes
The vast terrain offers something from everybody which is what makes Sun Peaks such an amazing location. Sun kissed Sundance Mountain offers an abundance of mellow (ish) groomed runs for intermediates. Mt Tod features awesome advanced terrain in open bowls, challenging gladed terrain, and long groomers, whilst north facing Mt Morrisey also has thigh burning cruisers as well as a few steeps, making Sun Peaks the perfect resort for snowsports instructor training.
It’s not called Sun Peaks for nothing either, averaging over 2000 hrs of sunshine each year you can be sure to get plenty of perfect bluebird days to shred the abundance of dry, light powder which graces the slopes!

Three very individual mountains surround the village and grace it with over 4,000 acres of ski terrain, enough to keep you entertained during your winter season. Whether your preferred tracks are on piste, off piste or through snow parks Sun Peaks has you covered!

ACTIVITIES
When it comes to looking for things to do in your time off from training then Sun Peaks has it all. Adventure tours, day trips or why not round up a team of your new friends and join the local amateur ice hockey league? (kit hire available). If you need some inspiration, then check this out;
NIGHTLIFE
Off the slopes you will find everything you need from sushi to schnitzel, bison burgers to grilled salmon, and homemade fudge to fresh baked goods – your taste buds will be pleasantly surprised at every turn with plenty of charming cafés, lively après ski bars and even a night club!
Sun Peaks is also proud to host Snowbombing Canada, THE winter music festival where world class music acts have lit up Mayrhofen in Austria for many years can now be found here in Sun Peaks!
ACCOMMODATION
Sun Peaks is one of the most beautiful resorts we have seen and you can appreciate the unspoiled views from our alpine chalets which are located in the heart of the village with its floor to ceiling, full window walls in the vast living spaces. Quad share rooms are included as standard in your course with twin and private rooms also available in Sun Peaks.
Your ski-in accommodation will see you finish your last run at your doorstep where you can take off your boots and jump in your private hot tub which looks directly out onto the mountains.
Our friendly chalet team will provide you with continental breakfasts each day and home cook you fabulous hearty dinners 5 days per week, giving you the chance to visit some of the great restaurants Sun Peaks has to offer on the weekends.
