The Chamonix Valley with its 5 ski resorts (Grands Montets, Les Houches, Le Tour/Balme, La Flegere and Le Brevent) Chamonix Mont-Blanc is considered by many to be the best freeride resort in the world.

Despite Chamonix’s low altitude of 1035 meters, 90% of it’s ski areas are located over 2000 meters, making for reliable and snow safe ski resorts.

With 157kms of on-piste and virtually unlimited off-piste terrain Chamonix is an exceptional ski area for all. Suitable for beginners all the way through to the advanced off-piste free riders that head here attracted by the abundance of extreme terrain available to them.

When you have finished exploring the in-resort ski terrain, it is worth consider hiring a mountain guide to ski the breathtakingly beautiful Vallée Blanche, Chamonix’s well-known off-piste ski route. This renown ski route is a massive 20km long and takes you over glaciers, navigates you around and over crevasses and all the time surrounded by some of the most inspiring mountains in the Alps.

When you need a rest from the skiing around the Chamonix area, you wont be disappointed by the variety of additional activities that you can take part in away from the slopes. From taking advantages of the incredible off-piste terrain for mountaineering, cross country skiing or alpine touring, to more leisurely options with spa treatments, swimming pools, a variety of shops bars and restaurants, there is something to appeal to everyone.

NIGHTLIFE

There are lots of great bars, hot spots and clubs across the Chamonix Valley; the The Office and Les Marmottons in Argentière, the Chambre Neuf (a local hotspot), the renown Folie Douce in Chamonix centre and the biggest club in the valley Amnesia, to name a few. There truly is something for everyone and for all hours of the day and night…

But when it comes to experiencing the best of the area and taking in a bit of everything, you will want to base your evening around the triangle near the station on Avenue Michel Croz in Chamonix itself. Once your time on the slopes has ended and you have danced your heart away during apres at the La Folie Douce hotel (somewhere definitely not to be missed!) you can be sure to find the Chamonix triangle bustling. Full of wide array of fantastic bars, beautiful restaurants, flowing wine, beer & cocktails, outdoor tables filled with locals and tourist’s enjoying live music, this is where the night really starts and some of the best Chamonix memories are made!
