Skiing hard, fast, and dynamically, while learning how to move and teach at the next level — the Austrian Landes 1 qualification is an intense and advanced level Ski Instructor Qualification that will push you to your absolute limits.
After gaining your Anwärter qualification, the Landeslehrer qualification (Level 3) becomes your end goal. The Landeslehrer is split into three sections, Landes 1 course (level 3, part 1), Landes 2 course (level 3, part 2), and the Alpinkurs. They are each of great interest to ski schools around the World. Those who reach the Austrian Landes 1 qualification are in an elite group of less than 20% of ski school instructors.
Your Landes 1 Instructor Course will cover high performance skiing on-piste, off-piste, moguls, short turns, variables and race performance training from some of the highest respected trainers in Europe. This course will drastically increase your confidence and ability before entering the exam. We will analyse your performance using HD video feedback and prepare you for the theory part of your exam, assisting you every step of the way.

**The Level 3 entrance ski camps are designed for instructors at the start of their journey toward Level 3 certification. Specifically tailored for those who are Anwarter / Level 2 qualified and looking towards the next step and the early stages of Landes 1 – part of the Austrian Ski Association system – This offers a structured pathway to higher-level skiing. The camp focuses on key performance strands, including moguls, dynamic long turns, rhythm changes from long to short turns, freeride runs, and slalom runs. While conditions depend on weather and snowpack, this course is an incredible opportunity for any skier looking to progress their technical skills and performance to the next level. (These camps include 5 days of training only, they do not include any part of the level 3 / Landes 1 assessment).
**Our Level 3 entrance ski camps provide the practical training for 5 days only and do not include the standard inclusions on our Landes 1 course such as accommodation and *lift pass which are not included.

In my opinion SIA is your only choice to become a ski instructor. For me, it was difficult to chose between all the different schools but I have never regretted the decision to choose SIA. The course was very well planned, organised and worth every dollar I paid for it.
If I could go back and do it all again I would, without a doubt! Apart from the extreme goggle tan I went home with, there wasn’t any negatives. The instructors, people and area were amazing, even if you aren’t a great skier or haven’t skied at all go for it, that’s what I did and I now can proudly say I have my Landes one qualification.
